America's biggest fireworks display returns to Hudson river!

Macy's fireworks display for July 4th, originally made its debut on Hudson River in 1958. Today, to celebrate America's 233rd birthday and 400th anniversary of the exploration of Hudson River by Henry Hudson, Macy’s will stage a shows-topping pyrotechnic show over Hudson River instead of the East River this year, returning to place where it was started.

This show will feature more than 40,000 shells exploding @ of more than 1,500 per minute which is eight times more than last year's show. The 26-minute display will be set off from six barges between 24th and 50th Streets on the Hudson River, at approximately 9:20 pm.

Fireworks will be synchronized to patriotic standards, original music, and classic river-themed works. The legendary New York Pops will perform under direction of Steve Reineke. Not only this Broadway superstars Audra McDonald and Idina Menzel will also perform to make this night rocking...

You can enjoy this beautiful event at home also. Macy's July 4th Fireworks will be shown Live on NBC-TV, hosted by Tiki Barber and Natalie Morales from flight deck of Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum beginning at 9:00 pm.
